Christmas 2007

Wow. so here we go. Mom blogs! Nothing is funner for mom than when family starts playing music together! Jake comes home and never puts down his guitar, Now Glen can pick up his bass and join in! Christmas this year started early with Amber working all day Christmas day we pulled everyone together Sunday evening, for "Christmas Eve" then dragged everyone up early the next morning for "Christmas". After the initial shock of it all everyone really had a wonderful time together-sharing gifts and smiles. Here are a few of my favorites: Jake makes it to Rachel's choir concert at school Rachel Gives Jake a warm blanket that will keep him warm up in Logan. Dad gives Melissa an exciting new book. Glen Gives Michael a new basketball. and gives Rachel a sweet bath set. Amber gave Rachel tickets to the Nutcracker and a candle warmer light. Grandma Singleton Gave the boys each hoodies and target gift cards ...and the girls warm sweater vests Melissa gives Glen a cool book bag and some favorite movies. Russells give the family, a simplified DDR game that keeps us all dancing, and a video game called "Scene it". My favorite gift was when Ariel and Brian made it down for the afternoon Christmas Eve day. They played Scene it with the family. The family all doubled over in pain with Brian as he calls the winning answer a little too enthusiasticly and doubles over from his surgery pain! Michael gives Amber a sweater he bought in Italy and when he finds out that she loves his Italian bracelet - He wraps that up for her as well! Glen is getting so good at his unicycle that we decide to give him an upgrade that he can really do cool things with. and Rachel learns to make pumpkin rolls and cooks them by herself for all the family when we go to Singletons for Christmas day's big dinner. Wonderful gifts of love! Wonderful Christmas! Wonderful Memories!

Thanksgiving.

We had the whole family together on Thanksgiving! It was fun to see everyone home. We haven't had that since we took family pictures last year. Someone is always gone for something. Tami visited with us too and we had a blast playing on iphoto. The feast was fantastic. Amber made some amazing pumpkin cheesecake, and salad and mom made the rest of the meal!
Jake and Mike went air softing with their friends the night before and in the backyard of one of our neighbors he got hit by something metal as he was running away and came home covered in blood and after a close look we took him to the hospital to get 5 stitches. It was quite the evening. The rest of us stayed home and made a silly video fooling around on Melissa's imovie program.
